December 17, 2005 Alum Rock Park |
Wild Recovery Business Meeting Saturday December 10, 2005 10 AM in San Jose |
|---|

Alum Rock Park is the oldest city park in Califronia.
From San Jose, take 680 north exit to Berryessa Road East (right, towards
the hills).Go to Piedmont, turn
right. Go to Pentitencia Creek Rd, turn left.
Follow Pentitencia Creek through the neighborhood
until it ends at the Alum Rock parking lot. Parking
is free.

We will start from the parking area and hike up the
North Rim trail, from there we take the Mineral Springs Loop
trail to the South Rim trail. We will have our
meeting somewhere near the top. We will then hike
back along the beautiful Creek Trail. The hike is about 7 miles with an 1800
feet elevation gain, which makes it a level 3B on the new scale, or a level 4
on the old scale.
Sorry, no dogs allowed in the park.
