This park is located on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In the winter the park has many spectacular waterfalls. Our hike will begin on the Alec Canyon Trail – where we will view Triple Falls, then back down to the Contour trail – where we will be treated to views of Upper Falls, Black Rock Falls, and Basin Falls. We will then take the “nature walk” along Waterfall Loop. We will have our meeting at Myrtle Flats, continue around the loop, and then hike back to the trailhead. Dogs are permitted on a leash on the trails. Smoking is not allowed on the trails. 4.5 miles, 450 feet elevation gain. Level 2.5.
