(Level 2.75 - Miles: 6 - Elevation
~900') We will set out for the hike from our camp sites. We are in the very last camp area, “Weyland sites”, at the top of the loop. We have 4 sites, plus the host site. Meet at Host site # 211, at 9:45 AM. We will set out at 10:00AM.
The Homestead Cabin is our starting point, which is just beyond the campground. This hike is a level 2.75. It is 6 mi. all told, and from the cabin to the falls, to the top of valley view, and back down again, we gain about 900 ft. We start out on the Oak Grove loop, detour off to Pfeiffer falls, and then go up to Valley View, and back down the way we came. Although the falls will not be running as prettily as in the spring, it is hard to go wrong for beauty in this neck of the woods. Valley View is the only real climb. After we come down from Valley View, we go back down the falls trail to Oak Grove, and back to camp.
