Our first time back to this rocky coastline and coastal forest since 2004, Point Lobos is truly one of “the greatest meeting of land and sea in the world.”

DIRECTIONS: From San Jose take Hwy 101 South for approx 45 miles to CA 156 West Monterey Peninsula exit. Take Hwy 156 West for 6.5 miles to CA Hwy 1 South. Take CA Hwy 1 South for 20 miles to Point Lobos. Park entrance on right 3 miles south of Carmel. Once inside, turn right to the Whaler’s Cove parking lot.
Drive time is 1 Hour 30 Minutes – Parking $8 – Dogs not allowed

(Level 2 - Miles: 5 - Elevation ~200') Our route includes a loop through the familiar Whaler’s Cove portion of the park and then for the first time a trip to the northern most tip of the park at Granite Point for the meeting.

RECOMMENDED: Weather conditions can change quickly. The meeting site is unprotected and may be windy. Dress warmly and in layers.
