Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve |

Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve is located on the western slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking Half Moon Bay. The centerpiece of this 3,307-acre preserve is Purisima Creek Canyon, with its towering redwoods, rushing creek, and understory of ferns, berries, and wildflowers..

DIRECTIONS: From San Jose, take 280 N to 92. Take 92W to Half Moon Bay. At the intersection of Hwy 1 and 92 take hwy 1 south for 1.5 mi to Higgins Park Road. Follow Higgins Park Road (Also known as Higgins Canyon Rd) for 10mi to the enterance of the park.
Drive time is 1 hour – Parking Free – Dogs not allowed

(Level 4 - Miles: 7.5 - Elevation ~1300') We'll start out on the Harkins Ridge Trail for 2.1mi, then we'll take The Bay Area Ridge Trail/Soda Gulch Trail for 2.6 mi. We will turn back and complete the loop at Purisima Creek Trail for 2.3 mi

RECOMMENDED: Parking is free, but VERY LIMITED. CARPOOL IF YOU CAN!!! Parking is limited to 10 cars. No Smoking, No Dogs
This is a very difficult hike with steep hills for at least 2.5 miles at the begining of the hike
