The Place

        This hike has it all! Views as well as a multitude of flora and fauna. Bring your friends that have dreaded taking a hike. This is a great dip into the vast aura of what Wild Recovery has to offer for the novice and seasoned hiker.

Getting There

        DIRECTIONS:  From San Jose, take 17 south to Santa Cruz, then take highway 1 north and drive 16 miles to the Wadell beach parking lot. Park and walk across the highway to the gate entrance to Rancho Del Oso.

Drive time is 1 Hour 20 Minutes – Parking Free – Dogs not allowed

Walking the Walk

        (Level 2 - Miles: 5 - Elevation ~300')  Take the paved road and walk about a half mile up to the Rancho del oso nature center. Continue across the parking area to the gate and take a left turn on to skyline to the sea trail. Hike is about two miles out to a crossing at the creek and loop back on the service road through the flower plantations and back to our meeting on Wadell beach. Hike is about 4.5 ~ 5.0 miles total.

Know Before You Go

        RECOMMENDED:  Parking is usually crowded so carpooling is highly recommended..
