Cool To Cool Canyon Loop El Dorado County |
This loop starts on the Wendall T. Robie Trail down to the Middle Fork of The American River then up the Pointed Rocks Trail Back to the Wendall T. Robie Trail and to the parking lot.
Of its more than 100 miles of hiking trails this challenging loop traverses a rich range of foothill scenery - rolling oak, savanna, chaparral, and rugged river canyon.

From San Jose Take 680-N for 71 miles, tale exit 71A to I-80 E, go 78 miles, exit 119-C, turn left on Elm Ave, go 6.7 miles, go left on CA-193, turn right to stay on CA-193-49 south. The trail starts from the parking lot behind the fire station on the north end of the small town of Cool.
We will meet in the Parking lot to start the hike.
